Last updated:

At The MS Tea Party, accessible from https://themsteaparty.com/, the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

If you have additional questions or need more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. By using our website, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you contact us directly, we may receive your name, email address, the contents of your message and any other information you choose to provide.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard log files when you visit. These may include your IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider, date and time stamp, referring and exit pages and the number of clicks. This information is not linked to anything that personally identifies you and is used to analyse trends, administer the site and keep it secure.

Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, local storage and similar technologies, as described below and in our Cookie Policy.

What we don’t collect. We do not ask for, and do not build profiles of, your political opinions, party membership or voting preferences.

How we use your information

  • To provide, operate and maintain our website;
  • To improve, personalise and expand our content;
  • To understand and analyse how visitors use our website;
  • To respond to your messages and requests;
  • To show advertising that helps keep our content free;
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security issues.

Google AdSense and the DoubleClick cookie

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick (DART) cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to themsteaparty.com and other sites on the Internet.

Advertising partners

Third-party ad servers or ad networks may use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in the ads that appear on The MS Tea Party. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to personalise the advertising content you see. The MS Tea Party has no access to or control over cookies used by third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of these third parties for more detailed information and instructions on how to opt out.

Analytics

We use Statcounter to understand how visitors use our website, for example which articles are most popular and how people find us. Statcounter may use cookies and collects information such as pages visited, referring websites, browser and device type and an anonymised IP address. We use this information only in aggregated form to improve the site. You can read more in Statcounter’s privacy policy.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, for personalised advertising cookies), our legitimate interests (for example, operating and securing the website) and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

  • The right to restrict processing — you can ask us to restrict how we process your data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object — you can object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The MS Tea Party is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided this kind of information on our website, please contact us immediately and we will promptly remove it from our records.
