The main topics for the meeting will be Grassroots Alliance's plans to participate in the Run for the Wall event again this year;the southern route for Run for the Wall brings bikers through Meridian the afternoon of May 23rd. Dinner will be served to the bikers at Agri Center on South 19th Highway. Breakfast will be served the morning of Tuesday, May 24th at the same site. A representative from the Meridian Committee for RFTW, will give us an update on the area plans for these mighty warriors as they travel to Washington D.C. for the big Memorial Weekend gathering. The representative will invite our group to again participate in the breakfast by providing muffins and good cheer as we send the bikers off on their ride to the capitol. There will be a short presentation by Chief Ward Calhoun from the Sheriff's Department on the laws governing 2nd Amendment issues in the State of Mississippi. We are all interested in what's going on concerning right to carry, the laws regarding concealed and open carry and how we might become licensed to carry. We invite Meridian residents to attend this meeting, join the effort to welcome the bikers as they travel through our community and learn how you might prepare yourself to be lawfully armed and protect you and your loved ones in the state of Mississippi as well as traveling through other states with arms.
